The Thunder Program is a competitive program devoted to developing young athletes. Thunder provides the most competitive environment with highly qualified pro staff and a curriculum built to improve young athletes in the four components of the game: physically, technically, tactically and psychologically. Thunder’s age appropriate curriculum is inspired by U.S Soccer and is designed to prepare young athletes with the necessary skills to pursue soccer opportunities such as high school, Olympic development program, college, and the professional level. Our teams strive to represent the core values of The Arizona Soccer Club with passion, respect, integrity, discipline and excellence. (P.R.I.D.E)
The Academy System is for those players looking for more than recreational experience, and puts player development at the forefront. It is a transitional program to the Competitive Program, and will prepare the players for a higher levels of competitive play. The program provides a positive learning experience, concentrates on the growth of the individual within the team structure and emphasizes development of technical skills and tactical awareness.
Our Thunder competitive development program has a track record of success. We have a history of bridging athletes, teams and coaches who are looking for the next level and want to transition to competitive play, The goal of the program is to prepare players for future transition into the AZSC Thunder Program, and is aimed at ages U11 and up. We are always on the cutting edge of player development, and we put a plan in place for every component of the game (technical, tactical, psychological and physical), at every age group (U11 through U18) and for each gender (boys and girls). The Thunder Development Program is volunteer Coached by licensed coaches who are dedicated to soccer and player development.
