The Competitive Program is for boys and girls, ages 11 to 18 searching to continue their soccer experience at the highest level possible. Most of the players that compete in this program have either come through the Academy Program or have joined our club, at a later age, looking for more opportunities to develop their soccer dreams than what they currently have.
The program is guided by age appropriate teaching objectives. Demands placed upon the players are progressive in nature and focus on the development of the four components of the game (technical, tactical, psychological and physical). Training sessions will be creative, dynamic and enjoyable and will range in emphasis based on the needs of the individual and team. We utilize a proven developmental program that challenges every player and team on a consistent basis but yet fosters self-esteem which builds more confidence and success. This model allows all players to play at the highest level possible based on given skills and ability.
Tryouts for the Competitive Program will be held in May each year, depending on the age group. Teams are formed within every age group, based on the skill and ability level of the player. The process used for team formations will be explained at the parent meeting during tryouts.
It is encouraged that all players interested in tryout out for the Competitive Program register for tryouts. If you do not have the means necessary to do so, on-site registrations will also be accepted on the day of tryouts for that age group. Tryouts are $10 for every age group and includes a t-shirt.
Exact training days and times are still being finalized and will be announced shortly.
All teams will train at the same location, on designated days. CSA has used Tumbleweed and Desert Breeze Parks in the past.
Each team will play a developmentally appropriate league and event schedule. This schedule will be determined by the club and and will be published on the event calendar.
