Summer Futsal

2016 FUTSAL PROGRAM UPDATE!

Hello, and thank you for your interest in the Futsal program!

Unfortunately, we will not be running a Futsal program for the summer of 2016 as the location we have used in the past is too limiting on court space and availability.  We are looking for a larger facility with greater flexibility in hours for next Summer 2017.

Please do check back with us next year!

Sincerely,

Chris Meador,
President Chandler Soccer Academy

Futsal is a very fast paced indoor game, played on gym floors without walls and a low bounce ball. The game promotes constant movement and quick decision-making in every situation due to the limited space of the court.  Most players who participate in futsal find that their touches are much improved when transitioning to the larger outdoor game.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

  • Whole team registrations are preferred, with a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 10 players per team.  Teams who pay the team fee will not be filled with free agent players.

  • Registration will be opened to teams first, and then to individual player at a later date.

  • The season is being planned as co-ed, but if enough single gender teams register for both boys and girls the season may be switched to separate divisions for girls and boys.
  • Co-ed means boys and girls will play with and against each other. In the event the season is co-ed, whole team registrations may be comprised entirely of one gender, or a mix of genders.  Free agent teams will be a mix of genders on the same team.
  • "Free Agent" teams will be formed from individual player registrations and player requests. Teams will be formed with a max of 10 players.  A maximum of  two friend requests may be submitted, and we will do everything possible to place requested team mates on the same; however, it is not guaranteed.
  • Once teams are formed a schedule will be created and released.  Each team will play 6 games which will consist of league play plus playoffs that are based on league standings.
  • The program is being planned to be 6 weeks in duration, with first games starting during the first week of June and last games completing by July 30th.

Each age group will play 1 to 2 games per week, Monday through Thursday or on Saturdays.  Note: Age brackets may be either 4 or 6 teams.
